Sebrina Butts, CRNP, licensed with the active drug enforcement agency (DEA), is a devoted healthcare professional and co-owner of Family First Medicine. Born in 1977 in Fyffe, Alabama, she grew up in the community and attended Fyffe Elementary and High School, where she was recognized as the "Most Outspoken" by her classmates. Sebrina played sports such as basketball during her high school years and was an avid member of Fyffe’s Varsity Softball team where she was named an DeKalb County Allstar. Sebrina was a member of the Fyffe Color guard squad and maintained the position of Captain for four years. Sebrina played the Saxophone for 8 years and achieved the honor of Allstate placement, one of which only a handful of students at Fyffe had accomplished during that time. After graduating from high school in 1995, Sebrina embarked on her journey in the medical field. She received the Fyffe Band Scholarship for her outstanding performance in high school and earned a Jazz Band and Chorus Scholarship to Northeast Alabama Community College.

Driven by her passion for patient care, Sebrina pursued her education at Northeast Alabama Community College, completing their Nursing Program and obtaining an Associate's degree in Science applied to Nursing in 2000. Eager to expand her knowledge and skills, she became a licensed Registered Nurse that same year. Determined to further her professional growth, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Science applied to Nursing from the University of Alabama Huntsville in 2003, solidifying her foundation in healthcare. Sebrina's pursuit of excellence led her to pursue a Master's degree in Science applied to Nursing from the University of Alabama Huntsville in 2005, enhancing her clinical expertise and understanding of nursing practices.

In 2006, Sebrina's dedication was recognized as she became a licensed Family Certified Registered Nurse with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. This achievement highlighted her ability to provide comprehensive healthcare services to individuals and families. In response to the unmet medical needs in their local communities, Sebrina and her colleague established Family First Medicine's Rainsville location in 2007. A decade later, they opened their Scottsboro location to the public in 2017.

To stay up-to-date in her field, Sebrina actively pursues certifications in various specialized areas of healthcare. She holds certifications in (ACLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support, (BLS) Basic Life Support, (DOT) Department of Transportation Certified Medical Examiner, (BHRT) Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Hydrafacial, Microneedling, Motus AZ+ Laser, and Physiq body contouring. These certifications reflect her proficiency in diverse aspects of healthcare.

Sebrina actively participates in professional organizations and affiliations. She is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, a prestigious mathematics honor society, and the Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Alabama, where she collaborates with fellow practitioners to advance the nursing profession. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Medical Science Advisory Committee, offering her expertise to guide medical practices and policies for high school students in DeKalb County. Since 2007, Sebrina has also served as a Nurse Practitioner Preceptor.

Throughout her career, Sebrina has gained extensive experience across a range of medical settings, including the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Room (ER), Medical Inpatient units, Surgical Outpatient departments, and as a Registered Nurse Supervisor. Her versatility and adaptability are evident through her work in a Med Spa, Geri-Psych Unit, Urgent Care Practice, and Primary Care Practice.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sebrina finds strength and guidance through her Christian faith. She shares her love for God and passion for teaching by running a TikTok Bible Teaching Ministry under the handle "NursePractitionerForGod2," where she inspires and educates her followers with biblical wisdom. In her personal life, Sebrina is a dedicated wife, celebrating over two decades of marriage since 2004, and a loving mother of four children. Her commitment to her family reflects her dedication to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for those closest to her.
