We are proud to present The Rhonda Palmer and Shirley Dalton Memorial Scholarship, which was established in 2016 by the compassionate and dedicated owners of Family First Medicine in Rainsville, AL – Sebrina Butts and Dedra Capps. This scholarship holds a special place in their hearts as it honors and cherishes the memory of their beloved mothers, Rhonda Palmer and Shirley Dalton.

Available to High School Graduates

The scholarship is specifically designed to support and empower high school graduates who aspire to pursue a career in the medical field. Sebrina and Dedra understand the importance of education and wish to provide a helping hand to deserving students looking to fulfill their dreams in the healthcare sector.

Honoring the Legacy of Strong, Independent Mothers

Sebrina and Dedra's mothers, Rhonda Palmer and Shirley Dalton, were remarkable women who exemplified strength and independence. They raised their daughters with love, courage, and a determination to succeed in all aspects of life. Though their lives were tragically cut short, their legacies continue through this scholarship, positively impacting the lives of young individuals entering the medical field.

Empowering the Next Generation of Medical Professionals

The Rhonda Palmer and Shirley Dalton Scholarship Fund offers up to $1,000.00 per semester, supporting a total of three simultaneous semesters. Family First Medicine believes in the power of education and is committed to empowering future medical professionals. In this spirit, the scholarship funds will be paid directly to NACC on behalf of the recipients, ensuring that the financial burden of tuition is eased, allowing students to focus on their studies.

The scholarship is open to applicants who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 throughout their academic journey.
